Day 3: Martha's Vineyard
Take a high-speed ferry to the famous off-shore island of Martha’s Vineyard. Learn about the life-style of the islanders from your guide as you explore the whaling village of Edgartown and the brightly painted, gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs. Dinner is included this evening after you return to the Mainland. (B,D)

Day 4: Newport Mansions
Leave the Cape and travel to Newport, Rhode Island, to enjoy a driving tour along ten miles of oceanfront where the most famous of the American Aristocracy built their splendid summer palaces. You’ll go inside the 70-room Breakers Mansion as well as the Marble House with their gilded rooms and open-air terraces offering magnificent ocean views. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant before checking into the Courtyard by Marriott in suburban Boston for three nights. (B,D)

Day 5: Salem & Marblehead
Nearby is the town of Salem, which is always linked to the witchcraft hysteria of the 1690s. The city also has a glorious maritime history and many of the splendid 18th century homes were built by ship captains who had amassed great wealth. You’ll visit the House of Seven Gables, which inspired Hawthorne to write his famous novel, and also the Salem Witch Museum as well as the drive to Marblehead for spectacular views of the Boston skyline. (B,D)

Day 6: Tall Ships
Board the “Spirit of Boston” for a Boston Harbor Luncheon Cruise among the Tall Ships with their billowing sails that have arrived in Boston for a special occasion. After the cruise, you may want to explore the Tall Ships on your own. (B,L,D)

Day 7: Boston / Home
A narrator will join you for over view sightseeing of Boston this morning. Later, a “colonial” guide will meet you at the Boston Tea Party Ships Museum. The Museum features full-scale replicas as well as a re-enactment of the historic “Tea Party.” Lunch will be included at Abigail’s Tea Room before going back to Logan Airport for your flight home.
