Day 1: To Palm Springs

Upon arrival in the early afternoon,check in for three nights at the centrally located Palm Springs Hyatt Hotel, within walking distance of the clever shops and restaurants, as well as the Spa Resort & Casino. This evening you will enjoy a Welcome Reception & Dinner at a restaurant at your hotel. (D)

Day 2: Movie Stars / Palm Springs Air Museum

In the morning, hop on your deluxe motorcoach for an exciting driving tour of the city. You’ll see the movie star homes and learn the local history. Suit yourself for lunch on your own at a great downtown restaurant. Later, head to the Palm Springs Air Museum. (B)

Day 3: Thanksgiving Feast / Joshua Tree Nat. Park

Journey to Joshua Tree National Park, distinguished by the many native Joshua trees that grow there. It also provides habitat for 813 species of plants, 40 types of reptiles, 41 mammals and 240 birds Then, visit Pioneertown, the village that started as a live-in Old West motion picture set, built in the 1940s. The set was designed to provide a place for the actors to live, and at the same time use their homes in the movie set. Then, return to Palm Springs for your Thanksgiving Day Feast at a local restaurant. This evening you can stroll along Palm Canyon Drive, and look into the shops and art galleries backlit to show off their elegant wares. Then, take a stroll to the Spa Casino, only a few walking yards away, for some slot machine fun. (B,D)

Day 4: Palm Desert / Living Desert / Home

After a leisurely breakfast, visit The Living Desert zoo and botanical gardens, all in one. With over 450 animals, it specializes in endangered desert species and plants. The Living Desert is more than a collection of exhibits; it is also a nature preserve. Then, stroll El Paseo (Palm Desert’s Rodeo Drive) for lunch on your own and shopping in the “high-end” stores before departing for home. (B)
