Day 1: To Fairbanks
Fly to Fairbanks and settle into the Hampton Inn for two nights.

Day 2: Fairbanks Sightseeing
Your motorcoach will take you to “downtown” Fairbanks to get acquainted with this historic gold-rush town. Spend the afternoon cruising on the sternwheeler “Discovery” along the Chena and Tanana Rivers. You’ll see sled-dogs, visit an Indian village, and watch a Bush Pilot demonstration. Later this afternoon, you’ll go out to Pioneer Park where 29 historic structures have been refurbished from gold-rush days. An all-you-can-eat salmon bake will include all the trimmings. Then, go to the Golden Heart Saloon on the grounds of the Park to see a collection of musical-comedy sketches. (B,D)

Day 3: Wilderness Highway
Stops along the way make this a fascinating day! We’ll pause at the Denali National Park Visitor Center where you can see some interesting exhibits and hopefully up-close views of Mt. McKinley under a cloudless sky. Another stop is planned at Talkeetna, a honky-tonk type of village with a downtown historic district. Finally, we’ll go to Palmer in the Matanuska Valley where giant-sized vegetables are grown during the long summer days. Overnight at the Lake Lucille Inn in Wasilla. (B)

Day 4: To Anchorage
Morning visit to the Iditarod Center in Wasilla to see the sled-dogs and maybe pet the puppies. Later, make a stop at the Eklutna Historical Park where Russian missionaries came to convert the Athabascan Indians. You’ll see the interest-ing “spirit houses” that adorn the gravesites in the cemetery. Then, it’s on to Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city, for two nights at the Springhill Suites in Midtown. (B)

Day 5: Anchorage Sightseeing
See the highlights of the City, and maybe pick a spot to linger for lunch. Visit a museum or see a slide show on the Northern Lights. We’ll go back to the hotel in mid-afternoon to rest a bit before dinner this evening at Gwennie’s Old Alaska Restaurant. (B,D)

Day 6: Kenai Peninsula
Morning visit to the Wildlife Conservation Center where injured and orphaned animals are protected. Then, drive the hauntingly beautiful highway to Seward on the Kenai Peninsula with accommodations at the Harbor 360 Hotel. This is a drive you’ll never forget! (B)

Day 7: All aboard!
(Note: Land-only passengers will be transferred to the Anchorage Airport for the flight home.) The Celebrity Millennium will sail this evening while you are having a gourmet dinner in the beautiful ship dining room. (B,D)

Day 8: Hubbard Glacier
Afternoon cruising by America’s longest tidewater glacier. (B,L,D)

Day 9: Juneau
Day-long port call in Alaska’s capital city. (B,L,D)

Day 10: Skagway
Step back to yesteryear with wooden sidewalks and falsefront buildings. (B,L,D)

Day 11: Icy Strait Point
Today you’ll call in a new port of call for cruise ships: Icy Strait Point. This new port in the Indian village of Hoonah is noted for whale-watching. (B,L,D)

Day 12: Ketchikan
Put on your shopping shoes and spend the day in Ketchikan. This is your last chance to buy Alaska souvenirs! (B,L,D)

Day 13: Inside Passage
Cruising the beautiful Inside Passage! (B,L,D)

Day 14: Vancouver/Home
Arrive in Vancouver to disembark and fly home. (B)
