Day 1: To Seattle
Fly to Seattle and spend two nights at Westin Seattle Hotel including a Welcome Dinner. (D)

Day 2: City Tour of Seattle
After a visit to the observation deck of the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens & Glass, you’ll be given a narrated tour of city highlights including the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, and Pikes Market with time to explore before returning to your hotel. (B)

Day 3: La Conner 4th of July
Drive to La Conner and the beautiful Skagit Valley to spend the night at the La Conner Country Inn. Dine at La Conner Seafood & Prime Rib House Waterfront Restaurant before a concert at the Port of Skagit with a spectacular fireworks display. (B,D)

Day 4: Friday Harbor Cruise
Explore the charm of La Conner before you drive to Bellingham to board the Motor Vessel Chinook to work your way to the end of the San Juan archipelago and cruise past the historic Burrows Island Lighthouse. Sample Washington wines and a snack while your captain gives an entertaining narration about the islands. While your luggage is transferred to your hotel, explore Friday Harbor, filled with delightful shops, art galleries, pubs and the only museum devoted to Orca whales. (CB,S)

Day 5: Wildlife Cruise
Stroll down to the dock to board the Chinook to begin an exciting day. From there you’ll make your way north in the San Juan Channel to your first stop at the historic Roche Harbor Resort. You’ll have time to explore on your own, or join a guided tour. Then, board the Chinook to explore the most central of the San Juan Islands. A hearty homemade Lasagna will be served during your search for Orca and Minke whales. Next, you’ll arrive at the famous Rosario Resort where you’ll hear a selection from Phantom of the Opera, played on the mansion’s 1972 Aeolian pipe organ as the silent film unrolls. Enjoy an unforgettable meal at the historic Mansion restaurant, with selections prepared by Executive Chef Raymond Southern. Then, re-board the Chinook as you watch the sun set over the Islands. Wind your way back to Friday Harbor for the night. (B,L,D)

Day 6: Whale-watching Cruise
Stroll through Friday Harbor before departing for the highlight of the day, a search for the magnificent Orca whales with an Old-Fashioned Cracked Crab Dinner. (B,D)

Day 7: Sucia Island
The Chinook will take you along channels and past islands not yet explored before fond farewells with the captain. Then, drive to Sucia Island State Park for a picnic lunch on the beach. Then drive to Whidbey Island and Oak Harbor where you’ll check into the Best Western Plus Harbor Plaza & Conference Center. Dinner will be at a local resraurant. (B,L,D)

Day 8: Gig HarborDepart for the Keystone Ferry Landing on Whidbey Island for the ferry crossing to Port Townsend. This afternoon, you’ll motor through Port Gamble and on to the Scandinavian village of Poulsbo before an overnight at the Inn at Gig Harbor with a Farewell Dinner included. (B,D)

Day 9: Home
Take a stroll through Gig Harbor, if you like, before heading to the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, then home.
